I hope to put up another album on our Web site that shows the old vs. the new, so you can get a better idea of what has changed. Nothing has changed outside, but a LOT has changed inside.

Whitecaps in Gatlinburg, and new pictures
We made it! We got home (to North Carolina) tonight and just got unpacked. We had to pack in the heavy rain this morning. It took 3 hours, because we had so much 'old' stuff from All Decked Out to bring home. We finally left about 1:30 pm. When we got down the mountain, we couldn't believe how high the Little Pigeon River was. So we drove into town to see what it looked like. Have you ever seen it this high?
This is just as you come off the parkway from the north, just before you enter Gatlinburg. We drove down to the Aquarium and found a tree had fallen across the walk bridge.
But the town had guys working to get it cleaned up.
Just past the Aquarium, this is the bridge by Jose's Cantina. See what we mean by 'whitecaps?'
A little farther down River Road, this was the scene.
That's a lot of rain! Now, we are very tired. But I promised you pictures of All Decked Out. I'm just going to give you a view of the main floor room and the lower level family room. Tomorrow, I'll post more, plus lots more on our Web site.

Yes, that's a TV and DVD player mounted in the corner. More will be coming, as soon as I can. But, based on seeing just this little bit, any comments?

The home stretch at All Decked Out
We're almost there with the NEW All Decked Out. The lower level bedroom and family room are finished. The upstairs bathroom just has to be put back together after all the painting Joyce has done. The upstairs bedroom is finished, but all the bathroom stuff is in it.
The main floor is a mess, because that's where all our tools and supplies are sitting, along with a WHOLE lot of stuff we're taking home to sell in a garage sale.
But we know you want pictures. Maybe we're being too secretive about our new decor. So here's a hint. This is the sign that is hanging on the front door of All Decked Out:
Like we said earlier, the new decor will make you proud ... to be an American!
As soon as we can, we'll get a full set of new pictures on our Web site. We also will post a new page titled "What's New" that lists everything we've done - along with a few things still to come. When we leave tomorrow, we think we'll have about 80-85% completed of everything we want to do.
