Guest comments about Smoky Mountain

Greetings from Smoky Mountain Tower. This is our first visit since last September. Thankfully, everything is in good shape, thanks to Ingrid (our fantastic cleaner and local property manager). We're getting some work done and will show you something special in the next few days.

Meanwhile, whenever we come back, it's always fun to read the guest book. We really appreciate the comments made by our guests. I've just finished posting the comments from September through December on our Web site. You can read them by clicking here.

For people who just have to stay wired...

Vacation is supposed to be a time for rest and relaxation, right? But, if you're like me, you still have to stay 'wired' - no matter where you are.

That's why we offer broadband wireless Internet at both Smoky Mountain Tower and All Decked Out. It has always worked very well at All Decked Out. But the coverage has been a little spotty at times if you're at Smoky Mountain Tower.

I think we've got that fixed! You see, the wireless router used to be locked up in the garage. Not only did that reduce the signal, but if the router tripped, there was no way to get in and reset it. So we have now moved the router to the living room. If you look carefully, you'll see it tucked behind the DVD/VCR player, right under the TV.


Now, the signal is great in the living room and the sunroom - and actually on upstairs, too. Also, if the router trips, it's very easy to reset.

This is just one more way that we look out for our guests. Because we know that 'it's the little things that count.' And sometimes, staying 'wired' isn't so little! If there are other things like this that we can do to make your stay more enjoyable, please let us know.
