No takers. Why not? HELP!

Remember our last post about bidding on the open dates next week at All Decked Out?

The deadline was 9:00 pm tonight (Thursday).  It's now 10:30 pm, so the bidding is closed.  And we got no bids!

Why not?  Okay, I admit - this was really a last-minute deal.  But in order to provide better opportunities for in the future, would you PLEASE help us understand what we can do in the future?

Why didn't you bid on this special offer?

• Was the date too late to make your plans?
• Were the minimum prices too high?
• Do you not want to come to Gatlinburg?
• Is there something we should change to make All Decked Out more attractive?
• Was the deal too complicated?
• What else did we do (or not do)?

Please write back and tell us what we did wrong and what we can do to make both All Decked Out and Smoky Mountain Tower more attractive for you.  Write to me directly at dave@smokiesrentdirect.com, or just post on our Blog or Facebook.

What's your bid for this REALLY last-minute special

How's this for a TRUE last-minute special!

All Decked Out is open next week from Sunday (June 24) through Thursday (June 28 - leaving on Friday, June 29).  That's 5 nights.

The regular price for all five nights is $896.36 - including tax.  That's the total, because we don't charge any extra fees.

So how about an online auction.  We'll take the best price we receive by this Thursday at 9:00 pm Eastern Time.  You can bid in three ways:

• Submit a comment on our Blog (www.smokiesrentdirect.blogspot.com)
• Make a comment to this message on Facebook.

We will respond to all emails and comments after 9:00 pm on Thursday.  If you're the winning bidder, we'll send you complete booking directions.  You will have to make your reservation by noon on Friday, so your payment can clear and we can make sure that All Decked Out is ready for you.

Now, here's the fine print:

• You must stay a minimum of 3 nights during this period.  We hope you will stay all 5 nights.
• The minimum bid for 3 nights is $400, including tax
• The minimum bid for 4 nights is $475, including tax
• The minimum bid for all 5 nights is $500.00, including tax.  That's a nightly rate of $88.69!
